Hyperstudio – Sila Sveta – Kissmiklos

Emotion: Sentience

Hyperfeeling aims to be the representation of all emotions, a large installation expressing the entirety of human feelings where one can touch, perceive, and see the complexity of emotions. The artwork is conceived as a total immersion in a luminous and radiant universe, represented by a pool of yellow small balls and a ceiling composed of a sky of balloons of the same colour. Additionally, there is a multimedia and multisensory show curated by Sila Sveta.

The audience is catapulted into a journey where emotions flow rapidly on the large sphere, accompanied by sounds and lights to amplify the sensation. Joy, sadness, anger, fear, disgust, and surprise take shape, becoming images, lights, and sounds to engage the audience in a unique spectacle. In the large pool, some balls feature the work of Kissmiklos’s Emogram; a work that aims to convey, through the typographic use of letters, the words that have contracted into emojis with contemporary communication.

Hyperfeeling invites spectators to reflect on their own emotions in relation to themselves and the world, a personal experience that becomes collective at the same time, suggesting that to feel, one simply needs to carefully observe what surrounds us.

At the border between reality and imagination, there is a place where space and time become equal. Neither a beginning nor an end, just a narrative, that of Hyperstudio, in which the distance between the artwork and the viewer vanishes. Born in 2020, Hyperstudio is a multidisciplinary collective of Italian artists and designers that conceive immersive installations in which art, artists and visitors are placed in a universe where imagination is free. It is a dynamic meeting point for art, culture and entertainment, creating amazing ecosystems and immersive experiences. Hyperstudio’s installations allow the audience to be led and catapulted into true sensory journeys unbound by real-time and space: effects of light and colour, absence of perspective, and environments that are made to disorient. This is how, between the unfolding of imagination before others and a landscape that moves beyond the fourth wall, entering art becomes possible

Visual artist and designer. Known for incorporating elements of fine art, typography, illustration, graphic design and interior design in his work. His art is characterized by a strong conceptual approach and an outstandingly colorful playfulness. His most iconic works are his emograms. These figures’ faces are made up from letters of a word, mostly expressing an emotion or thoughts or reflecting on themselves. His works have already been exhibited in many European and Asian museums and galleries. His practice challenges the boundaries between High and Low Art and reflects on the entangled relationship between art, social media, capitalism and the individual. Such playful dichotomies and an acute awareness of art history are central to Kiss’s oeuvre, which lends a new aesthetic and conceptual dimension to the contemporary canon. His artworks oscillate between different systems of meaning and perception while always maintaining a humorous, ironic, tongue-in-cheek edge.
