Balloon Museum is located inside the Tin Building, in the South Street Seaport neighborhood, just a short distance from the Brooklyn Bridge, at 96 South St, New York, NY 10038.

Balloon Museum is easily accessible by subway, bus, and ferry.

Subway: get off at Fulton Street Station, served by lines 2, 3, 4, 5, A, C, J, and Z. From there, the museum is about a 10-minute walk away.

Bus: take the M15 or M15-SBS and get off at South Street / Peck Slip, about 2 minutes from the museum.

Ferry: take the East River Ferry and get off at Pier 11 / Wall Street. The museum is about a 5-minute walk away.

The visit takes approximately 1.5 hours.

The exhibition is suitable for all ages, and admission is free for children under 3 years old. Children up to 14 years old must always be accompanied by an adult.

To ensure the best possible experience for all visitors, strollers are not permitted inside the exhibition.
Whenever possible, we recommend leaving strollers at home or in your car. Alternatively, a stroller storage area is available upon arrival, where you can leave your stroller during the visit.

Yes, Balloon Museum is accessible to people with disabilities or reduced mobility. Tickets for visitors with disabilities are divided into Adult with Disability and New York State Resident with Disability. Admission is free for visitors under 18 with disabilities.

Yes, the exhibition is fully accessible and has no architectural barriers. Wheelchairs are allowed throughout the visitor route.
If needed, a wheelchair is available free of charge, subject to availability. To request one, simply ask our staff upon arrival.
The organization is not responsible for personal belongings left unattended in strollers, nor for any damage to them during the visit.

Some installations may not be suitable for people with epilepsy, balance disorders, or sensory sensitivities due to strobe lights, images, and sounds.

However, visiting the museum is at each visitor’s discretion. If needed, an alternative route may be chosen to avoid installations that could cause discomfort.

The balloons are made from liquid natural rubber latex. If you are allergic to latex, please inform our staff upon arrival if you need assistance or have specific sensitivities.

Ear protection is available at the ticketing area. Special assistance is available upon request.

Only digital payments are accepted. Cash is not accepted.

No, you do not need to print your ticket. You can simply show it in digital format from your smartphone at the museum entrance.

Tickets are non-refundable.

If you cannot attend on the booked date, your unused ticket may be used on a later date under the same purchase conditions:

same day of the week, same time slot, same ticket type, excluding holidays and special dates.

For example, a ticket purchased for a Monday at 6:00 PM may be used on any other Monday at 6:00 PM, as long as it is not a holiday.

Since the museum uses dynamic ticketing, tickets cannot be used for time slots or days with a different price from the one originally purchased.

You may enter up to 30 minutes after your booked time.

After this limit, we cannot guarantee immediate entry. Access will only be allowed if a later time slot is available, compatible with your purchased ticket and the museum capacity.

Since ticket prices may vary depending on the entry time, access to later time slots with a different price cannot be guaranteed.

If you booked the last time slot of the day, we recommend arriving on time so you can enjoy the full experience.

Group visits are available for a minimum of 20 people.

Yes, photos are allowed and encouraged. We invite you to share your shots and your experience during the visit.

Commercial filming, press interviews, media and television filming, and the use of professional photo or video equipment are not allowed without prior authorization from Balloon Museum.

Any professional filming activity must be authorized in advance and carried out with the supervision of a Balloon Museum representative.

Food and drinks are not allowed during the exhibition.

There is a café at the end of the visitor route.

Yes, changing tables are available inside the museum for families with young children, to make the visit more comfortable and convenient.

The museum follows a one-way visitor route. Once you leave an area, you generally cannot access it again.

Exceptions include the café and merchandising area, as well as visitors with a Flex ticket, which allows greater flexibility during the visit.

The exhibition route may be subject to changes. Some artworks, installations, or setups may be modified during the exhibition for artistic, technical, or organizational reasons.

Yes, the museum is equipped with video surveillance systems. Exhibition areas are monitored to ensure visitor safety and protect the artworks and installations.

Yes, dogs are welcome at Balloon Museum during the DAYDREAM exhibition.
To help ensure a safe and enjoyable visit for all guests, we kindly ask dog owners to follow these guidelines:
• Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
• Medium and large dogs are required to wear a muzzle throughout the visit.

DAYDREAM is an immersive exhibition featuring lighting effects, sound effects, vibrations, and balloons that may unexpectedly pop. These elements may be overwhelming or stressful for some dogs, so we encourage owners to consider whether their pet is likely to feel comfortable in this environment. Owners are responsible for their dog's wellbeing throughout the visit.

Yes, paid lockers are available on site for guests who wish to store their personal belongings during their visit.
Two locker sizes are available, subject to availability.
Items must be collected within approximately 2.5 hours of storage. After this time, an additional fee may apply.
Small personal bags, such as belt bags or fanny packs, are generally permitted during the visit.

Balloon Museum is an interactive experience, but all artworks must be treated with care and respect.

Specific rules for each room are clearly displayed at the entrance of every installation.

Please note that not all artworks can be touched: some are intended for observation only, inviting you to look, feel, and let your thoughts wander freely.

Any act of vandalism, damage, or behavior that endangers the safety of the artworks or other guests will result in immediate removal from the venue.

Installations are made with biodegradable and recyclable materials.

Balloons are made from natural latex and organic pigments, not plastic.
