Michela Picchi is a multi-disciplinary artist from Rome, currently based in Berlin. After graduating in Law and Economics and later in Graphic Design, she moved to Hong Kong, where she was able to explore, experiment, and develop her own distinctive style.
Her work draws inspiration from collage and visual illustration, and her unique use of color is a key element in her output, diving into Pop and surrealist worlds. Constant motifs in her work are the “psychedelic” tigers that appear in her murals, prints and collaborations.
Picchi focuses on how perceptual experiences are linked to visions and how this relation can be transferred into artworks. She has had numerous solo exhibitions in Italy and has been featured in a variety of international group exhibitions, including at the Saatchi Gallery in London, Affordable Art Fair in Milan, Gerichtshof Gallery in Berlin, an artist residency at SPAZI in Venice, Italy, and at Creative Fusion Art Residency in Cleveland, Ohio.
Notably, Michela Picchi delivered a TEDx Talk in Taipei, Taiwan.
