CAMILLA FALSINI

Camilla Falsini was born, lives, and works in Rome where she divides her work between illustrations and murals.She juxtaposes, composes, and decomposes simple shapes using them as modules, changing the meaning of an image in the same way that the letters of the alphabet can compose millions of words when juxtaposed differently.

The artist is fascinated by themes such as language, writing, and the evolution of species.In 2020 she won, together with the WeAreJungle agency, the “Piazze Aperte” competition as part of the Redesign for the regeneration through urban planning intervention in Milan.

She has published three illustrated books: 100 CHEVALIERS, ZOOM: The biggest circle ever, and 5 WILD SHAPES and her illustrations made the Official selection at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 2017. She took part in group exhibitions organized at the Milan Triennale, the MACRO Museum in Rome, the MADRE Museum in Naples, among others, as well as in multiple solo shows in Ravenna, Florence, and Bologna, Italy.

Camilla Falsini started working as an illustrator collaborating with Italian and foreign publishing houses, agencies, newspapers and magazines, such as Vanity Fair and The Washington Post, the major Italian newspapers, and music and film festivals. She has created installations, large paintings and wall paintings for Samsung, Zalando, Napapjiri, ILIAD, Lavazza and many others. Her murals can be found in Rome, Milan, Turin, Palermo, Naples, Padua, Brescia, Monza, Ravenna, Bologna, and in small towns of Tuscany, Emilia Romagna, Molise, Marche, Basilicata, Veneto, Lombardy, and Sardinia.
